Christien Savoie x Jacobe Smith

Bet: Smith wins
Result: Smith wins by NOCAUTE

Another dangerous All-American wrestler coming to the UFC. Smith put in an impressive performance. In the first round, he took Savoie down at will and applied heavy ground and pound. Just one detail: right at the start of the fight, he applied an illegal elbow to the back of the Canadian’s head, which may have worsened the athlete’s performance… even so, otherwise, Smith showed complete dominance. In the second round, Savoie was dead and the referee had to declare a knockout.

Abdellah Er-Ramy x Torrez Finney

Bet: Finney wins
Result: Finney wins by NOCAUTE

HAPPY! In his third attempt (and third Contender win), Finney finally got the contract! How? He did exactly what the boss asked! Er-Ramy couldn’t perform. Finney quickly took him down and ended any defense his opponent had. The American tried to finish a few times, without success, but still in the first round, he managed to get a dominant position and applied a very strong ground and pound, with the referee ending the fight.

David Martinez x Xavier Franklin

Bet: Martinez wins
Result: Martinez wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Gala performance from Martinez. With effective boxing and thirty leg kicks, Martinez was one step ahead of his opponent from the start, who gradually cooled down. It’s worth noting Franklin’s stamina, which lasted for three rounds, but he wasn’t able to show his full potential. Still, full credit to the Mexican athlete who was on a different day. Contract signed with the UFC!

Alberto Montes vs. Carlos Calderon

Bet: Montes wins
Result: Montes wins by FINALIZATION

The first round was balanced. Montes had good attempts at a finish, but the strongest blows and falls came from Calderon. In the second round, Calderon came back more tired, and with new submission attempts from Montes, he couldn’t resist: he was caught in a hand triangle. If Montes improves his standing game, he’ll be a very dangerous athlete in the UFC. But for now, getting the contract was a great victory.

Diyar Nurgozhay vs Bartosz Szewczyk

Bet: Nurgozhay wins
Result: Nurgozhay wins by NOCAUTE

The first round was curious… both athletes were a bit sleepy, throwing few punches. It was more a round of study on both sides. But it had already become clear that Nurgozhay had more power in his punches, with the Pole doing everything he could to evade his attacks. As the second round got underway, the Polish fighter’s defense couldn’t hold. The Kazakh athlete landed a left kick to the face of Szewczyk, who fell hard and landed three more free punches until the referee stopped the fight. A good win and, of course, a contract signed with the UFC.
