Check out the predictions and analysis for all the fights on the card below. The predictions take into account the fighters’ current form, performance history and fighting styles.
Rodrigo Sezinando vs Daniil Donchenko
(Low Confidence)
Bet: Donchenko wins
Analysis: Two UFC debuts by guys who have a strange record… Little experience and the Brazilian fighting in smaller events. They’re both explosive, but I think the Ukrainian has more knockout power. If in doubt, it’s a fight that should be good to watch, but there will be better fights to bet on.
Montserrat Rendon x Alice Pereira
Bet: Pereira wins
Analysis: Alice, at the age of 19, makes her UFC debut against the 36-year-old Mexican. If Alice isn’t affected by the nerves of her debut, she has everything she needs to get through. Alice is strong, has knockout power and in her last fight she showed who’s got the gas. In the Mexican’s favor, her experience in the UFC and her gas.
Alessandro Costa vs Alden Coria
Bet: Costa wins
Analysis: The Brazilian is a complete fighter, good on the feet, good on the ground and has gas in case the fight goes the distance, not to mention the experience of fighting in the UFC. It’s Coria’s debut in the event and he has a very strange record… he’s knocked out and finished a few opponents, but even in his last fight, his opponent had a record of 4-7, to give you an idea. He doesn’t inspire confidence.
Zachary Reese x Sedriques Dumas
Bet: Reese wins
Analysis: I have many doubts as to whether this fight will actually take place, given all Dumas’ problems with the courts. But if it does happen, it’s a question of whether Reese knocks him out or finishes him. Dumas is a fighter, but he’s very slow and I don’t know if he’s had a full camp. Resse is very explosive, always moving forward to finish the fight as soon as possible.
Jesus Aguilar x Luis Gurule
Bet: Gurule wins
Analysis: Gurule is an average wrestler, but he makes up for his lack of skill with a lot of grit. And if he gets the takedown, he has good control on top. Aguilar is a good wrestler who prefers to grapple, but on the bottom, he can be tricky. Since Gurule won’t have to worry about being knocked out, if he can stick to Jesus, get takedowns and control, he has a good chance of winning.
Tatiana Suarez x Amanda Lemos
Bet: Lemos wins
Analysis: Despite being 38, Amanda has the game to beat Suarez, especially if she prevents the first takedowns. Tatiana’s only wrestling is on the feet, she’s too far behind the Brazilian and when she lands the first blows, she’ll want to take her to the ground. Suarez’s gas isn’t the best either, I see Amanda with more stamina.
Claudio Puelles vs Joaquim Silva
Bet: Puelles wins
Analysis: Skill for skill, it’s an even fight, but in Puelles’ favor is youth: he’s 29 while the Brazilian is 36 and no longer seems to have much to do in the UFC. Puelles prefers ground fighting, an area where the Brazilian is also good, at least offensively. With his back on the ground, the Brazilian could get into trouble with the Peruvian.
Jose Daniel Medina vs Duško Todorović
Bet: Todorović wins
Analysis: Each has 3 losses in a row in the UFC, so it’s very likely that the one who loses will leave. And in that, I think Todorovic has more to offer. He’s more aggressive, can knock out and finish. The Bolivian is a funny guy, he laughs inside the octagon, he can take a lot of punches, but he simply doesn’t do anything else.
Santiago Luna x Quang Le
Bet: Le wins
Analysis: Luna has an unbeaten record of 6-0 at the age of 21. It seems to me that they are accelerating him too soon. Quang Le isn’t a spectacular athlete, but he’s much more experienced, stronger and has knockout power, as well as being good on the ground. I think he’ll bring his first defeat and a good lesson to the Mexican.
Alexander Hernandez vs. Diego Ferreira
Bet: Hernandez wins
Analysis: Hernandez is not an athlete I like to watch very much, but the guy’s streak, 4 wins and the way the last one went, the way he destroyed Chase Hooper in the first round, what is he going to do with the 40-year-old Brazilian? Diego has knockout power, but his age is already weighing him down. Hernandez has shown a lot of speed and endurance. I think he’ll run over the Brazilian.
Kelvin Gastelum vs Dustin Stoltzfus
Bet: Gastelum wins
Analysis: Gastellum doesn’t seem to know what he wants to do in the UFC. Stoltzfus, at least, is a guy who tries something. He has knockout power and is good on the ground, which is the flaw in Gastellum’s game. Dustin will have a good height and wingspan advantage.
Rafa Garcia vs Jared Gordon
Bet: Gordon wins
Analysis: Gordon, even at 37, has put in some good performances. He’s very strong and has knockout power. Rafa Garcia has never been knocked out, but he doesn’t like striking much, preferring the ground game. I’m just not sure he can take Gordon down that easily. And on the feet, the American has the edge.
Rob Font x David Martinez
Bet: Martinez wins
Analysis: The two had different opponents, and now they’re going to face each other. Rob Font is a tough guy, but at 38, he’s not so exciting anymore. In their last fight, they gave him the win, but Jean Matsumoto had fought much better. Martinz has a similar style to the Brazilian. He’s very fast, strong, has a distinctive boxing style and a good ground game. With that kind of pressure, I don’t know if Font can handle it. It’s just as well that the Mexican makes his victory very clear in the rounds, to avoid “robberies”.
Diego Lopes vs Jean Silva
Bet: Silva wins
Analysis: It’s a very complicated fight and it has to come down to the details. I didn’t like Diego’s performance against Volkanovski, he didn’t pull the trigger, he was stuck. And with Jean’s style, he can’t even think about doing something like that. As for Jean, he’s a knockout artist and has a very dangerous range of finishes. It’s sure to be a great fight!
