UFC 311 Results: Makhachev vs Moicano

Tagir Ulanbekov vs Clayton Carpenter

Bet: Ulanbekov wins
Result: Ulanbekov wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

The falls made the difference. Tagir took down, controlled and threw good punches and elbows while on top. When Carpenter got the takedown, he just controlled… in the end, a comfortable win for the Russian.

Ricky Turcios vs. Benardo Sopaj

Bet: Sopaj wins
Result: Sopaj wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION IN THE FINAL MATCH

Good win for Sopaj! Turcios tired quickly from the end of the first round. All that was left for the Albanian fighter to do was to maintain the advantage of punches and kicks in rounds 1 and 2, and in the third, he almost got the knockout. He won by unanimous decision. The only worry is that Sopaj’s gas is a bit questionable…

Rinya Nakamura vs Muin Gafurov

Bet: Gafurov wins
Result: Gafurov wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Boy… Gafurov came to put on a show! His overhand right hit the Japanese fighter in every round, and at times it even looked like he was going to be knocked out. He managed to hold out until the end, but the result was crystal clear, a decision win for Muin.

Karol Rosa x Ailin Perez

Bet: Perez wins
Result: Perez wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Everyone knew Argentina’s game. And she stayed on her feet for a long time. But it was the takedowns that helped her win rounds 1 and 2. In the third, the Brazilian needed to accelerate, but she continued at the same pace… she even won the round, but it wasn’t enough.

Grant Dawson x Diego Ferreira

Bet: Ferreira wins
Result: Dawson wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Dawson played his game of takedowns and control. The Brazilian rarely had an answer. Grant was always one or two steps ahead. With so much control on top, it was easy to see victory for Dawson.

Billy Elekana* x Bogdan Guskov

* Elekana accepted the fight with a few days

Bet: NO BET, changed opponent
Result: Guskov’s victory by FINALIZATION

Elekana only had energy for one round and he made it count! He almost managed to finish in the first round, but his energy ran out. In the second, Guskov built up his victory. Lots of punches to the face and body. Elekana kept asking Guskov to hit him more. But then Bogdan decided to go the other way and finished the fight.

Zachary Reese x Azamat Bekoev*

* Bekoev accepted the fight with a few days

Bet: NO BET, changed opponent
Result: Bekoev wins by NOCAUTE

Reese’s game was based on aggression, but the Russian managed to nullify that game with ease, taking the fight to the ground. Zachary tried to throw elbows from the bottom, but they weren’t effective enough. When Bekoev hit Reese’s chin, he felt it and ended up staying.

Payton Talbott x Raoni Barcellos

Bet: Talbott wins
Result: Barcellos wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

The Brazilian came in very angry that they were taking him out for nothing! And he managed to show that he still has wood to burn. From the start, he managed to take Talbott down and control him for a long time. And even on the feet, when it looked like Talbott would be a little comfortable, he’d get taken down again. It was like that until the end. Barcelos delivered a gala performance!

Kevin Holland vs Reinier de Ridder

Bet: De Ridder wins
Result: De Ridder wins by FINISH

Reinier did a safe job with ease! He got the takedown at the start, controlled it and it was only a matter of time before he got the finish. Great win.

Jailton Almeida x Serghei Spivac

Bet: Almeida wins
Result: Almeida wins by NOCAUTE

Malhadinho won in the first round, but look, he suffered a little more than necessary. Who would have thought that Spivac would be the first to look for a takedown, and even get one? I even thought Jailton would be knocked out! But fortunately he managed to reverse it, the fight was back on the feet and in the boxing Almeida hurt Serghei. When it went to the ground again, it was only a matter of time before Spivac was knocked out.

Jiri Prochazka vs Jamahal Hill

Bet: Prochazka wins
Result: Prochazka wins by NOCAUTE

What a fight!!! Jiri came all out to win, but Jamahal didn’t sell cheap. Hill had some good moments, including winning round 2. However, Jiri knocked Hill down in the first and gave him some nasty cuts on the face. In the third round, with all his strength and speed, he scored a wonderful knockout.

Merab Dvalishvili vs Umar Nurmagomedov

Bet: Dvalishvili wins
Result: Dvalishvili wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

In the first two rounds, it looked like Merab was going to lose the belt! The Russian was much faster, got takedowns and stopped the Georgian’s game. However, with five rounds to go… Merab is home! From the third round onwards, Umar began to tire as Merab grew. It was then that the slugfest kicked in. It seems that Nurmagomedov broke his hand halfway through the fight, which explains some of his drop in performance. Still, all credit to Dvalishvili!

Islam Makhachev vs Renato Moicano*

* Bekoev accepted the fight with a few days left

Bet: NO BET, changed opponent
Result: Makhachev wins by FINISH

At the start of the fight, Moicano gave the Russian a flashdown that gave us hope, but unfortunately Islam got a takedown and on the ground, there was no way. With a lot of agility, he slipped the hand triangle, leaving Moicano with nothing to do but slap.

Final Report

Among our best guesses, Ailin Perez and Reinier de Ridder won their fights comfortably. In the case of Renato Moicano, we considered the marriage of his previous fight, against Beneil Dariush.
