UFC Fight Night Cannonier vs. Rodrigues predictions
em 03/02 - Atualizado há 10 diasThe UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Rodrigues will take place on February 15, 2025 at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, NV. Check out our full analysis and predictions for the event.

Julia Avila x Jacqueline Cavalcanti
Bet: Cavalcanti wins
Analysis: The Brazilian/Portuguese is fighting very consistently and has a good fight IQ. She lacks knockout power, but has plenty of gas for the three rounds. Ávila has been out of action for over a year and, at 36, seems to be slowing down. Given Jacqueline’s form, her chances of victory are pretty good.
Valter Walker x Don’tale Mayes
Bet: Walker wins
Analysis: Walker is improving his style in the UFC. On the ground and in wrestling he has shown himself to be very dangerous. On the feet, I still have my doubts and on the gas too. But as he’s much more dangerous than Mayes, who has already been finished 3 times, I’ll give him a vote of confidence. We’ll probably get to the bottom of Valter’s gas, because Don’tale has been taking all his fights to decision lately.
Vince Morales x Elijah Smith
Bet: Smith wins
Analysis: A good test for Elijah, a fighter who comes from last year’s Contender. Morales in the UFC, is 3-6, but his defeats have been to good fighters and mostly on decision. In Vince’s favor, he has a lot more experience and if he puts his wrestling on the line, he could be a nuisance. However, Smith, who is 12 years younger, is in a better phase and could only be hindered by the scare of his debut.
Gabriel Bonfim x Khaos Williams
Bet: Bonfim wins
Analysis: Bonfim’s opponent has changed, but he’s still a dangerous guy. Williams has a wingspan of almost two meters and has never been knocked out or finished. The American has two wins in a row, but against very average fighters. Gabriel had a reality check against Dalby, where he tired a lot, but in his last fight he showed better gas, which will be very important in his next fight. In the Brazilian’s favor, boxing and jiu-jitsu are out of the ordinary.
Rafael Estevam x Jesus Aguilar
Bet: Estevam wins
Analysis: Rafael is extremely dangerous on his feet and on the ground. He will have a good height and wingspan advantage in this clash. Aguilar is on a three-fight winning streak, which would be a very good thing if they weren’t fights against weak athletes, with at least one of them already out of the UFC. The Mexican has already been finished twice, which is great news for the Brazilian.
Jared Gordon x Kauê Fernandes
Low confidence
Bet: Fernandes wins
Analysis: Kauê has knockout power, especially with his kicks. Gordon has already been knocked out a few times and at 36 years of age, his stamina must already be dropping. The problem for the Brazilian is if the fight is extended. The longer it goes on, the less chance he has of winning.
Angela Hill x Ketlen Souza
Bet: Hill wins
Analysis: Even at the age of 40, Hill had been putting on good fights, until the clash against Ricci, where she was unrecognizable (or was it Tabatha who put on an off-course fight?). Overall, Hill is much more experienced and has gas to spare. Souza is coming off two good wins, but against weak athletes, against Angela, the level is a little higher. The longer it goes on, the more likely Angela is to win.
Connor Mathews x Jose Delgado
Bet: Delgado wins
Analysis: Yet another debut for an athlete from last year’s Dana White’s Contender. Delgado is a complete and lethal fighter: all his victories have been by knockout or submission. When I look at Mathews’ record, it’s hard to know why he’s even in the UFC, to be honest. The only problem, it’s always good to point out, is the issue of debuting in the biggest MMA event in the world, which can cause nerves.
Rodolfo Vieira x Andre Petroski
Bet: Petroski wins
Analysis: It should be a tough fight. Vieira is a jiu-jitsu monster and has been taking some victims. However, Petroski’s wrestling is top-notch and so far he’s never been finished. If he goes all in, invests in takedowns, but doesn’t mess around with his neck or arm, he can win a decision. Now, if Andre has a moment of inattention, he could be finished because of the beast on the other side.
Ismael Bonfim x Nazim Sadykhov
Bet: Bonfim wins
Analysis: Sadykhov hasn’t lost in a while, but he was fighting average athletes. When the level went up a bit in his last fight, he drew against Borshchev. Ismael is very experienced, despite being only 29, and very dangerous, especially in boxing. In his last fight, he showed good fight IQ and plenty of gas.
Edmen Shahbazyan x Dylan Budka
Bet: Budka wins
Analysis: Neither fighter can be trusted. However, Budka’s game, with takedowns and control, tends to be the remedy for Shahbazyan, who has a very questionable takedown defense. If Dylan is on top of his game and plays it safe, he has all the tools to win.
Calvin Kattar x Youssef Zalal
Bet: Zalal wins
Analysis: What can we say about Zalal’s latest performances? The Moroccan is flying! 3 finishes in a row and on the feet, he’s passing the car too. Kattar is a bit lost in the UFC, especially after three losses in a row. Youssef’s only problem is his gas. It’s not impossible to finish Calvin or knock him out, but his opponent has to be full of gas. Given the Moroccan’s form, he tends to run over Kattar and close his coffin.
Jared Cannonier vs Gregory Rodrigues
Bet: Rodrigues wins
Analysis: Cannonier is a tank, even at the age of 40. He has never been finished and in his last defeat by knockout, the referee jumped the gun. In front of him, however, will be another war tank. Gregory Robocop is a born knockout artist and a jiu-jitsu black belt. He will have the advantage on the feet and even more on the ground. The Brazilian just needs to be prepared for the five rounds, if necessary.
