Charles Johnson vs Ramazan Temirov
Bet: Johnson wins
Analysis: How can you not believe in Johnson? He’s on a four-fight winning streak and he’s putting in increasingly confident performances against at least average fighters. The knockout artist Temirov, on the other hand, finishes most of his fights in the first round, but what if the fight goes the distance? Charles has never been knocked out and has a good height and wingspan advantage. If he manages to control the difference and tire Ramazan out, he has everything it takes to secure a safe victory.
Montana De La Rosa x Luana Carolina
Bet: Carolina wins
Analysis: The Brazilian is in a better phase, and on the feet she’s much better than de La Rosa. She just has to watch her takedowns, not get too close so as not to let the American get her wrestling game going. It’s hit, move and go. I see Luana as more agile and stronger to win easily.
Danny Silva x Lucas Almeida
Bet: Almeida wins
Analysis: The Brazilian is well used to the UFC, he’s had some good wins and a few losses. Silva comes from the 2023 Contender Series, where he won a decision over a pretty good guy, and in his first UFC fight, he got by Josh Culibao. If Lucas can get a few takedowns and stifle the American, he could improve his chances of victory.
Andrea Lee x JJ Aldrich
Bet: Aldrich wins
Analysis: I thought that Lee, with 5 defeats in a row, had already been removed from the UFC, but no such luck, and here she is about to lose her sixth. Lee prefers to fight standing up, but she doesn’t have a very consistent takedown defense. Meanwhile, Aldrich’s strategy is to take the guard and control or take the guard and control. And in this style she’s been picking up good wins. Against an opponent seemingly at the end of her career, she should be able to impose her game again.
Douglas Silva de Andrade vs John Castaneda
Bet: Castaneda wins
Analysis: Douglas is tough, very strong and resilient. But at 39, unfortunately it’s hard for him. In his last fight, he tired a lot. Castaneda isn’t a star at anything, but six years younger and with more gas, he should do more than enough to win. This fight has all the makings of a decision.
Ricardo Ramos x Chepe Mariscal
Bet: Mariscal wins
Analysis: Chepe is on a seven-fight winning streak and will outbox anyone who stands in front of him. A lot of pressure, good volume, if he goes down it’s hard to keep him on the ground and on the feet, against Ramos, he’s smooth. The Brazilian was coming off two bad guillotine defeats, until he got a split decision win over Josh Culibao, just to survive a while longer in the UFC, but now, with the pressure Mariscal puts on his opponents, it looks like it’s going to be too much for the Brazilian.
Danny Barlow vs Sam Patterson
Bet: Barlow wins
Analysis: Patterson has a distinctive jiu-jitsu and will try to take the fight to the ground by any means. But will he have time? The Englishman has a VERY suspect chin and Barlow has a cannon in his left hand. Even if Sam manages to get a takedown, will he be able to hold the American there? Finish him? I think that’s very unlikely. And on the other side, Danny only needs to land one hand to end the fight.
Hyder Amil vs William Gomis
Bet: Amil wins
Low confidence
Analysis: While Gomis prefers a more paced fight, with little volume, I’m curious to see him manage this strategy against Amil, a guy who comes in at full speed, wanting to rip his opponent’s head off. Hyder may tire at the end of the fight, but he has every chance of winning the first two rounds and then William, I’m pretty sure, won’t want to increase the pace in the last round. And I wouldn’t doubt Amil scoring the first knockout of the Frenchman’s career…
Austen Lane x Mario Pinto
Bet: Pinto wins
Analysis: Lane was being brutally knocked out and was about to leave the UFC. Until he got a fight against Despaigne, where he turned wrestler, put the Cuban down and controlled him with ease. This time, it won’t be so easy to repeat that strategy and Portugal’s Mario Pinto has plenty of knockout power to hit Lane’s slack chin.
Nasrat Haqparast x Esteban Ribovics
Bet: Ribovics wins
Analysis: It could be a very even fight, but I see the Argentine with more weapons to win. Esteban is very aggressive and has dangerous kicks. Haqparast will have to get the takedown quickly to avoid the fight on the feet. But I think he’ll have problems putting the Argentinian down easily.
Cody Brundage vs. Julian Marquez
Bet: No prediction
Analysis: Two LIMITED athletes. The winner will be whoever gets up to go to the bathroom during this fight. Don’t bet on either of these two. Very unreliable.
Manel Kape vs Asu Almabayev
Bet: Kape wins
Analysis: Almabayev will want to put falls and control on Kape, but how can he keep this up for five rounds? He’ll have to be out of gas. Manel, on his feet, has more weapons and is more experienced. I think the longer the fight goes on, the better for him. Kape has already faced some good names in the division, while Almabayev was blowing away a very dubious list of athletes.
