Marquel Mederos vs Austin Hubbard

It was a bit more difficult than I thought! The altitude probably hindered Mederos, who seemed to tire more quickly. He was knocked down and stayed there. Hubbard can’t complain about the result. He got the takedowns, he controlled but he didn’t make an effort to progress, let alone cause damage. It was an even fight and the result could have gone either way, especially with the way the third round went. Fortunately for me, the victory went to Mederos.

Jamal Emmers x Gabriel Miranda

The two went to the clinch in the first round. When the Brazilian got the takedown, it looked like a finish was coming. However, Emmers managed to defend himself and in the standing fight, the American was cruising. Every bomb from Jamal made Miranda dizzier, until he couldn’t take it anymore.

Rafa Garcia x Vinc Pichel

Garcia played his usual basic game. He hits, moves… a few dribbles… but he’s not very exciting to watch, even if he is effective. Pichel, at 42, didn’t show much, although it’s incredible that he can fight all three rounds at that age! In the end, a clear victory for the Mexican.

Loopy Godinez x Julia Polastri

Polastri was knocked down multiple times in rounds 1 and 2, and walked backwards while standing. It was a quiet two-nil for Godinez. In the third round, the Brazilian woke up and went for it, but she had to knock her out or finish her. She didn’t manage either, although she came close to a knockout. In the end, a unanimous victory for the Mexican.

Cristian Rodriguez vs Melquizael Costa

Beautiful victory for the Brazilian, in the race! Cristian Rodríguez only had the grid game and a few takedowns, but on the ground, he didn’t control and didn’t advance. They both tired a lot, but that’s because they were pushing too hard in the clinch game in every round. In the first two rounds, despite Cristian’s control, Melq did much more damage. In the third, Rodríguez was on top and was better both standing and on the ground. But in the end, it wasn’t enough to make a difference.

Jose Medina vs. Ateba Gautier

Ateba’s power is no joke… despite the Bolivian laughing during the fight, calling out his opponent, the Cameroonian’s blows were clearly hurting. After a knee to the chin, Medina went down and the referee soon declared the fight over. A bit hasty, as he fell awake and could have taken a few more punches. Yes, the result the way it was, it couldn’t have been any different.

Ronaldo Rodriguez vs Kevin Borjas

Borjas was boxing excellently and found the distance very quickly, even in the first round. The solution for Ronaldo would have been to take the fight to the ground, but the young man apparently has a negative IQ: he wanted to continue fighting only on his feet and was delayed in every round.

David Martinez x Saimon Oliveira

Martinez destroyed the Brazilian in the first round. There was no way around it. In the clinch, the Brazilian looked stronger, but in the middle of the octagon, in the exchanges, the Mexican was flying. With quick, powerful blows, he built up the knockout until the Brazilian could take no more.

Raul Rosas Jr. vs Vince Morales

Chairez put in an almanac performance! He came in, got the distance, dropped a bomb with his left hand, CJ went down a bit dizzy and Edgar went in for a rear naked choke, and then there was no turning back.

Manuel Torres vs Drew Dober

Fireworks! I was pretty sure that this fight wouldn’t make it past the first round, I just couldn’t tell which side would be victorious. Fortunately, it was the Mexican fighter. Dober was still trying to find his feet in the fight when he was hit by a combination of very strong punches from Torres. Drew went down and, in desperation, grabbed onto Manuel’s leg to try and take him down… he couldn’t and was hammered hard on the head, until the referee declared the fight over.

Brandon Moreno vs Steve Erceg

Complete domination by the Mexican in front of his home crowd. Much more agile, with a good sequence of blows and, above all, defending himself well against the attacks of Erceg, who was lost and frustrated. It went five rounds without much difference. A clear victory for Brandon and for Erceg, I don’t know what the future holds for him…
