Check out the predictions and analysis for all the fights on the card below. The predictions take into account the fighters’ current form, performance history and fighting styles.
Brando Peričić x Elisha Ellison
Bet: Ellison wins
Analysis: Two brutes, aggressive, but with very strange cards. Few fights and against limited opponents. However, Ellison looks stronger and has a better physique. If they get past the first round, it’s going to be a horror-fest.
Michelle Montague x Luana Carolina
Bet: Carolina wins
Analysis: Montague is a dangerous fighter when he manages to take the fight to the ground. In the PFL he was putting on a show and finishing everyone. But now it’s her first fight in the UFC and she faces the experienced Carolina, who is in a good phase. In the stand-up, Luana has more weapons. The Brazilian will have to control her gas and defend her takedowns. I believe that in terms of overall skills, Luana can bring Montague her first defeat.
Jamie Mullarkey vs Rolando Bedoya
Bedoya’s win
Analysis: Mullarkey has not fought for over a year and has no chin. Despite coming from three defeats in a row, Bedoya, in theory, has a good chance of knocking him out. Bedoya has a good wingspan. Mullarkey, despite his low stamina, is only 31… but he’s not an eye-catching fighter.
Colby Thicknesse vs Josias Musasa
Bet: Thicknesse wins
Analysis: Josias is a born knockout artist, but with zero takedown defense. If Colby shows the slightest bit of fight IQ, he’ll try to get the takedown as soon as possible. And once on the ground, Musasa has every chance of being easily finished.
Cam Rowston vs Andre Petroski
Bet: Petroski wins
Analysis: Rowston is a tall fighter and good on his feet, but he struggles against wrestlers. And all Petroski tries, from the opening seconds, is to take the fight to the ground. And most of the time, he succeeds. It will depend on Cam’s takedown defense, but I don’t trust it. If he keeps the fight standing, he has a chance…
Jonathan Micallef vs Oban Elliott
Bet: Micallef wins
Analysis: Micallef has a wingspan of almost two meters and is an intelligent fighter. Oban had been on a good winning streak, but in his last performance, he looked like a ghost… I don’t know what happened, but given his form, and the fact that he’s fighting at home, Micallef will have the advantage.
Loma Lookboonmee x Alexia Thainara
Bet: Thainara wins
Analysis: Thainara fights with joy and an unwavering will. It helps that she also brings a lot to her skills. She’s very quick on her feet, always moving forward and knows how to do well on the ground. Loma is also a good fighter and is on a good run, but she will have a considerable height and wingspan disadvantage. She’ll probably go all the way, but in terms of volume of blows, I think the Brazilian has the edge.
Navajo Stirling x Rodolfo Bellato
Bet: Stirling wins
Analysis: Navajo is a good fighter, especially on the feet. He controls the distance well and knows how to win rounds, although he’s been a bit boring to watch. Bellato is an unknown. He’s tough, but in his last few performances he’s shown some flaws and taken unnecessary knockdowns. If the Brazilian makes a mistake in front of the Navajo, he’ll be in trouble.
Justin Tafa x Louie Sutherland
Bet: Tafa wins
Analysis: Tafa is like that: if the hand catches, the opponent goes down. Now, if Louie goes down, the man is finished. However, I’m going to rely more on the knockout power of the home fighter.
Tom Nolan x Charlie Campbell
Bet: Nolan wins
Analysis: Cambell hasn’t fought in over a year and a half. He’ll have a height and wingspan disadvantage. Nolan has knockout power, knows how to control the distance and if he manages to keep the fight standing, he has everything to win, even by decision.
Jake Matthews vs Neil Magny
Bet: Matthews wins
Analysis: Matthews is in a good phase and has been showing a good fight IQ. He just beat Chidi Njokuani, who has a long profile very similar to Magny. If Jake invests in the same strategy, sticking and trying for the finish, he has a good chance of seeing it. On the endurance front, Magny, at 38, is already showing that he’s slowing down.
Jimmy Crute x Ivan Erslan
Bet: Crute wins
Analysis: Two average fighters. Erslan is a striker with weak takedown defense. Crute is a wrestler with dubious stamina, who gets into trouble standing up. But in this kind of confrontation, the guy with the takedowns usually has a bit more of an advantage.
Jack Jenkins vs. Ramon Taveras
Bet: Jenkins wins
Analysis: Two good fighters. It should be an even fight. If it’s just on the feet, Taveras has more in-line boxing. However, Jenkins is a better MMA fighter. He can fight on his feet and get some takedowns.
Carlos Ulberg vs Dominick Reyes
Bet: Reyes wins
Analysis: Since his return, Reyes has been destroying all his opponents. He has a lot of intelligence and knows how to be aggressive. Ulberg is a good fighter, but he looks inexperienced if the fight goes the distance. In fact, in his last “win” he lost to forty-year-old Jan Blachowicz. Carlos has knockout power in the early rounds, but I don’t see Dominick standing in front of him.
