em 27/05 - Atualizado há 16 diasCheck out our full analysis and predictions for UFC Vegas 107: Blanchfield vs. Barber. The card promises to shake up UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 31, with a clash that could define new directions in the women’s flyweight division.

Rayanne dos Santos x Alice Ardelean
Bet: Dos Santos wins
Analysis: After two defeats in split decisions, it’s time for Rayanne to win her first in the UFC. She’s a good athlete, but she needs to put on more pressure and win the rounds more clearly. Her luck this time is that Ardelean is a very slow fighter, even if she is quite strong. If Rayanne manages to impose a good volume, along with some takedowns, she has everything she needs to do well.
Michael Aswell* vs. Bolaji Oki
Bet: Oki wins
* Aswell accepted the fight a few days beforehand
Analysis:For the original fight against Mederos, I thought Oki would lose. Now, against Aswell, who was called up in a hurry, being a fighter who lost in the Contender to an average fighter, I see Bolaji with full advantages of winning. Michael was called in to fill a hole, will he be prepared for the intensity with which Oki enters the octagon? I don’t think so…
Trevin Giles vs Andreas Gustafsson
Bet: Gustafsson wins
* Fight at welterweight. Giles accepted the fight with very few days notice.
Analysis: The Swede’s UFC debut comes after a win in last year’s Contender. He’s a VERY STRONG wrestler with powerful punches. Giles can control the distance well, but if his opponent presses too much and manages to stick to him, he’ll go downhill, so much so that he’s already had three straight losses in the UFC. And if he loses now, he’ll probably go through HR. There’s always the nervousness factor of a debut, but overall, Gustafsson has more weapons to win this fight.
Kurt Holobaugh vs Jordan Leavitt
Bet: Holobaugh wins
Analysis: Despite his 38 years, Kurt is a good fighter and can manage both on the feet and on the ground. It’s his takedown defense that’s a bit suspect, but luckily for him, Leavitt isn’t great at it and hasn’t fought in over a year. In Jordan’s favor, a very dangerous ground game. Holobaugh needs to keep the fight standing or propose takedowns and control from the top.
Jafel Filho x Allan Nascimento
Bet: Filho wins
Analysis: This fight was supposed to happen last year, but AGAIN, Allan got injured. In fact, he hasn’t fought for over two years, either due to injury or problems with the weight cut. Jafel doesn’t fight as much as he should, but he’s more active than his opponent and I think he’s more hungry to win. Allan has the muay-thai to fight standing and on the ground, he’s very good. Jafel is still developing on the feet, but his jiu-jitsu is top-notch. Given the stage, I think Jafel has a better chance of winning.
Zachary Reese x Duško Todorović
Bet: Reese wins
Analysis: The two are fighters, and their fighting styles are very similar: going for the upper hand, trying to take their opponent’s head off. But in this exchange, both also have a very suspect chin. However, due to his height and speed advantage, I consider Reese to be more dangerous than Dusko. If this fight goes beyond the first round, I’ll be surprised.
Ketlen Vieira x Macy Chiasson
Bet: Chiasson wins
Analysis: Ketlen is a slow fighter, a bit stuck and who doesn’t like to be pressured. The Brazilian has an imposing physique, but can’t use it well. And in this fight, she’ll be facing a fighter in better shape, with a good height and wingspan advantage. Chiasson is more dangerous than Ketlen both standing and on the ground.
Dustin Jacoby x Bruno Lopes
Bet: Jacoby wins
Analysis: Dustin comes from a good win against Vitor Petrino and won with a great knockout. Lopes only has one loss, but it was by knockout to the average Brendson Ribeiro. And from what I’ve seen of his fights, nothing too surprising. Jacoby is more experienced and has more knockout power.
Ramiz Brahimaj vs Billy Ray Goff *
Bet: Brahimaj’s victory
* Originally, they would have had other opponents, the fight was arranged between them a few days in advance.
Analysis: Complicated fight to predict… Brahimaj is a jiu-jitsu beast while Goff is very good on the feet. Taking into account the way the fight starts, it’s a matter of Goff keeping it standing and escaping the ground at will. Now, if Ramiz manages to get a takedown and advance positions… Ray will be in a lot of trouble. And since they were both training for other athletes, what about studying their opponents? In this change, I think Ramiz can impose his game more easily.
Mateusz Gamrot x Ludovit Klein
Bet: Klein wins
Analysis: Gamrot has a pathetic game to watch, but it’s worked for him most of the time: chain wrestling, which means he tries a takedown… if it doesn’t work, you know what he does? He tries another one… and so on until he gets it. It’s predictable and if Klein comes in with his takedown defense up to date, keeps the fight standing and hits good shots, it could make his life easier. The main thing is not to be swallowed up by Mateusz’s boring game. Now, with the fight on the feet, Ludovic is light years ahead of the Pole.
Erin Blanchfield x Maycee Barber
Bet: Blanchfield wins
Analysis: Erin doesn’t have the most flashy games, but he’s efficient. Lots of grid and control. She recently beat Rose Namajunas, without trying too hard, in five rounds. Barber is more aggressive and quite strong, but I can’t trust her gas for five rounds. I think she’ll start out explosive, she won’t be able to knock her out – after all, Blanchfield has never been knocked out – and then she’ll start to tire from the third round onwards, which is when Erin tends to grow into the fight. That’s if she doesn’t find a finish first, I wouldn’t doubt it.
