➡️ Analysis and predictions UFC 316: Dvalishvili vs O’Malley 2

MarQuel Mederos vs Mark Choinski
Bet: Mederos wins
Result: Mederos wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION
MarQuel was very technical, defended himself well against most of Choinski’s takedowns and on the feet, applied a lot of kicks to Mark’s calf. The three rounds were very even. Perhaps, if he’d had a full camp, Mark would have been a bit more of a nuisance, but with very few days, it was difficult for him.
Quillan Salkilld x Yanal Ashmouz
Bet: Salkilld win
Result: Salkilld win by UNANIMOUS DECISION
Salkilld decided to show off his wrestling and put in two impeccable rounds, knocking Ashmouz down as if he were an 80-year-old lady. But this came at a price: Quillan entered the last round almost dead tired, and Yanal grew into the fight. As the Israeli failed to score a knockout, the victory went to Salkilld on account of his victory in the first two rounds.
Joo Sang Yoo x Jeka Saragih
Bet: Yoo wins
Result: Yoo wins by NOCAUTE
Jeka started the way he always does, by dropping bombs. However, just 26 seconds in, Yoo dodged and hit Saragih’s chin with his left hand. It was more than enough: Jeka went down completely out cold! Lightning victory for the Korean!
Ariane da Silva x Cong Wang
Bet: Wang wins
Result: Wang wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION
The Chinese Joker ran over the Brazilian. From the first round, her calf kicks totally weakened Ariane’s actions. Wang kept up her kicking strategy, imposing volume while the Brazilian tried to find something. She couldn’t find anything and the next thing she knew, the fight was over. Consistent victory for Wang.
Khaos Williams vs Andreas Gustafsson
Bet: Williams wins
Result: Gustafsson wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION
Khaos didn’t find himself in any round. Andreas imposed his grid game with ease from the start. A lot of pressure from the Swede, control, knees and elbows. At the start of the second round, it already looked like Williams wanted to leave. A very well constructed victory for Andreas.
Serghei Spivac x Waldo Cortes-Acosta
Bet: Cortes-Acosta wins
Result: Cortes-Acosta wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION
Whoever wanted it more won. Spivac surprisingly didn’t invest as much in wrestling as I thought he would, which made life easier for Waldo. In boxing, Cortes-Acosta put on more volume in every round. Serghei even managed to rock him at times, but he didn’t get on top, perhaps because he was tired. And with that, Waldo kept up the pace and got this great win.
Azamat Murzakanov vs Brendson Ribeiro
Bet: Murzakanov wins
Result: Murzakanov wins by NOCAUTE
And the Brazilian started well, moving around a lot and taking advantage of his height and wingspan. But at the end of the first, for a second he made the mistake of stopping moving right in front of the Russian… and paid the price! Ribeiro took a knockdown, Azamat went up and closed the fight with a brutal ground-and-pound.
Bruno Silva vs Joshua Van
Bet: Van wins
Result: Van wins by NOCAUTE
Van made his youth count: he was stronger and much faster. He gradually destroyed Silva. Bruno had his nose hurt in the first round and what was difficult got worse. Van already had the judges’ decision victory in his hands, but he kept going. And at the end of the third round, Van still managed to knock him out.
Vicente Luque vs Kevin Holland
Bet: Luque wins
Result: Holland wins by FINALIZATION
Holland’s wingspan made quite a difference. He landed good blows on the Brazilian in round 1 and at the start of round 2. When the fight finally went to the ground, which seemed to be Luque’s area, Kevin was on top and managed to find a hand triangle.
Mario Bautista x Patchy Mix
Bet: Mix wins
Result: Bautista wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION
Is that what Mix is? My God… the guy defended the jabs with his face alone, he didn’t think he was there at any time. Bautista fought very well and managed to control the octagon. Patchy had a lot of trouble understanding Mario. And with that, Bautista found the distance well in advance and was able to impose volume, until he won the judges’ decision.
Kelvin Gastellum vs Joe Pyfer
Bet: Pyfer wins
Result: Pyfer wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION
Pyfer was categorical and efficient, he didn’t put himself at risk, but he did enough to win the rounds. He rocked Gastellum a few times, but didn’t come close to knocking him out. And on Kelvin’s side… it was only towards the end of the third round that he really tried to fight, otherwise he was just surviving. In the end, Pyfer’s victory was clear.
Julianna Peña vs Kayla Harrison
Bet: Harrison wins
Result: Harrison wins by FINALIZATION
Harrison took no notice of Peña, as expected. She won the first round well, with her grid game, takedowns and control It looked like it was going to be a long night for Peña, but early in the second round, after a takedown, Harrison advanced positions until she managed to find a kimura. Julianna quickly had to tap. And now we have a new champion in the women’s welterweight division!
Merab Dvalishvili vs Sean O’Malley
Bet: Dvalishvili wins
Result: Dvalishvili wins BY FINALIZATION
It would be difficult to be different. O’malley did improve his takedown defense, but not enough. And even on the feet, the American wasn’t finding anything. Merab dominated all areas, the guy has the aura of a champion and it’s going to be hard for anyone to take the belt off him.
