Jamey-Lyn Horth x Vanessa Demopoulos

Bet: Horth wins
Result: Horth wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Demopoulos accepted the fight with a few days’ notice and in the top category. Horth, much stronger and taller, managed to control Vanessa in all three rounds with ease. Jamey was better on the feet and, even in the grappling game, which was to be Vanessa’s flagship, she was also far superior.

Phil Rowe x Ange Loosa

Bet: Loosa wins
Result: Rowe wins by NOCAUTE

Loosa had won the first two rounds because of his takedowns. But this style of play and his muscular physique cost him a lot of energy. He entered the third round very tired. Rowe was fuller and built up the knockout with his boxing, while Ange defended every blow with his face. With just over a minute to go, there was no way, Loosa fell to the ground and stayed there.

Ricky Simon vs Cameron Smotherman

Bet: Simon wins
Result: Simon wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

The match-up was perfect for Simon’s wrestling. Smotherman has an abominable takedown defense and even accepted this fight with a few days left, the result couldn’t have been any different. Simon took him down whenever he wanted and controlled him for a long time. On the feet, Cameron couldn’t find anything and the victory at the end of the third round was clear.

Cody Durden vs Jose Ochoa

Bet: Ochoa wins
Result: Ochoa wins by NOCAUTE

José Ochoa has that Chute Boxe style, of walking forward, going up. The thing I noticed is that he has very high precision. He went for pure exchanges against Durden, but José was much faster and landed good kicks to the body and punches to Cody’s face. So much so that, right at the start of the second round, Ochoa went into turbo mode and it was only a matter of closing out the fight.

Malcolm Wellmaker x Kris Moutinho

Bet: Wellmaker wins
Result: Wellmaker wins by NOCAUTE

This Malcolm has a different aura. A destructive boxing style with very powerful blows, that when they hit the opponent, the person is immediately aware of it. The victim this time was Moutinho, a guy known for taking a beating, but this time there was no talking. Wellmaker closed his account in the first round with a knockout.

Michael Chiesa vs Court McGee

Bet: McGee wins
Result: Chiesa wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Sleepy sparring match. McGee only hit the wind. Chiesa found the distance early in the fight, but had no knockout power, just kept scoring. Dragged out and boring. The only people who really lost were those who watched.

Paul Craig x Rodolfo Bellato

Bet: Bellato wins
No Result

Late in the first round, the Brazilian was in a support position and received an unintentional pedal to the chin. He was already in Narnia. There was no way to continue and the fight was declared a No Contest.

Alonzo Menifield x Oumar Sy

Bet: Sy wins
Result: Menifield wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Some are saying it was the robbery of the night… I even saw Sy winning, but I recognize that at the pace he fought, he didn’t make a point of making his victory clear on points. Menifield was more aggressive and the attacks that swung came from him. Sy had the better technique and movement, but he didn’t pull the trigger on his opponent.

Mansur Abdul-Malik vs Cody Brundage

Bet: Abdul-Malik wins
Result: Abdul-Malik wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

It would have been a knockout win in the third round, but Malik threw an unintentional headbutt before the ground and pound. The commission checked the last moments and annulled the knockout, opting to go to the results of the scorecards. And there, Malik had already won the first two rounds and was winning the third as well. Brundage has been improving. This time he was more resilient and had a better fight IQ, but it still wasn’t enough.

Cody Garbrandt vs Raoni Barcelos

Bet: Barcelos wins
Result: Barcelos wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Garbrandt started the fight well, joking around and winning the first round. However, he entered the second already slower and tired. And with that, the Brazilian grew and dominated. Raoni won rounds two and three well and claimed victory in the judges’ decision.

Edmen Shahbazyan vs Andre Petroski

Bet: Petroski wins
Result: Shahbazyan wins BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Edmen did what he wanted in the standing fight, since he had a very good takedown defense against the few that Petroski tried. By the way, what a disgraceful performance from Andre, who barely tried to impose his takedown game on the feet. Edmen was the better fighter in every round.

Rose Namajunas vs Miranda Maverick

Bet: Maverick wins
Result: Namajunas wins BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

A great fight! Rose showed all her experience and superiority. She was intelligent and managed to control Miranda even in her area, which is the ground game. But Miranda didn’t sell cheap. She was very strong at times and tried a good finish at the end of the second round. But in the end, it was clear that Rose had more control in every round.

Kamaru Usman vs Joaquin Buckley

Bet: Buckley wins
Result: Usman wins by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Wow, what was that? Usman simply DESTROYED Buckley!!! The Nigerian dominated the first four rounds. He took him down whenever he wanted and as soon as he got the takedown, Joaquin was on the ground helpless. It wasn’t until the fifth round that Buckley managed to do some standing, but it was too late. If Kamaru puts in another performance like that, he could be in contention for the belt again!
